In recent years Bailey has lead the field in fixed bed caravan design, being the first UK manufacturer to bring the ground-breaking new Senator Indiana and the Senator Virginia layouts to market. Both models offer inventive solutions to the issue of adapting the usage of interior space to accommodate a fixed double bed.
 
With sales of these and other fixed bed models across the portfolio now accounting for 55% of the annual total, Bailey has looked to bring the consumer additional choice in this market sector with the introduction of the Senator California.
 
The all new California combines the best of the award winning Indiana and Wyoming layouts, retaining the open plan feel of the former with the functionality of the latter in a single axle body shell.
 
The rear bedroom features a nearside full size double and is complemented by an ensuite transverse end washroom including a fully lined separate shower cubicle. A U-shaped front saloon and well equipped central kitchen complete a totally unique layout that really does provide that extra dimension in terms of comfort and practicality.
 
This model was conceived using the consumer feedback gained from the My Bailey Van Caravan Design Competition. Of the 850 designs received this was the most commonly requested new layout by the competition entrants.
 
As with all Series 6 models the California is superbly specified including the latest AL-KO ATC Trailer Control System and TRACKER Monitor Stolen Vehicle Recovery system which, combined with the AL-KO AKS 3004 stabiliser and an AL-KO Secure portable wheel lock, will ensure that the customer’s investment remains both safe on the road and secure on site.
 
Inside the interior décor featuring a choice of three contrasting soft furnishing options and premium quality fixtures and fittings in matt nickel, has been expertly refined to give Senator that unmistakable touch of class. Whilst a five star equipment manifesto is further enhanced with the introduction of the latest Dometic 115 litre refrigerator with a removable freezer compartment and a state of the art home entertainment system featuring a Radio/CD/MP3/DVD player and a remote control 16” flat screen digital television.
 
The Senator California will debut on retailer sites during the National Caravan Road Show promotion in January and February.
