Bailey is the toast of the industry as Senator Wyoming retains its Tourer of the Year title
Bailey of Bristol was the toast of the industry when it secured the lion’s share of accolades at the 32nd Caravan Industry Awards announced during the recent International Caravan and Motorhome Show held at the NEC. The company won two of the three price category awards and then claimed the top prize, with the Tourer of the Year title going to the Senator Series 6 Wyoming for the second consecutive year.
Overall it was story of unprecedented success for Senator Series 6 with models from the new Bailey flagship range claiming no fewer than 5 separate prizes.
In addition to the Tourer of the Year title the Wyoming also won its class award in the Best Caravan over £15,000 category. The Senator Vermont received the Thetford Washroom of the Year Award with a design that combines a walk-in domestic shower cubicle and full height wardrobe with the latest features such as the new Thetford C-250 cassette toilet and a Truma heated towel rail.
The Senator Arizona won the Hawkins Electrical prize with a system that not only includes a comprehensive internal 12v lighting supply, featuring low energy LED pelmet strip lights, but also a fully wired home entertainment system consisting of a Radio/CD/MP3/DVD player and a 17” flat screen digital television.
However perhaps the most significant endorsement received by the Senator Series 6 range was the Bakers of Cheltenham Award for advances in caravan security.
With caravan theft becoming increasingly prevalent Bailey has taken the lead in this field by becoming the first manufacturer to fit a TRACKER Stolen Vehicle Recovery system as standard specification in a caravan range. This combined with a TRACKER internal intruder alarm and an AL-KO Secure wheel lock (two in twin axle models) provides Senator Series 6 owners with a ground-breaking new security package. These items are also now available as a Retailer fit upgrade in Bailey’s other product ranges.
To complete a wonderful result for Bailey the innovative new Ranger Series 5 620/6 also won the Best Caravan Under £12,000 class in the same competition giving the Bristol based company a total of six awards from a possible nine categories.
